The Last American Man

By Elizabeth Gilbert

After I read Eat.Pray.Love, I had to read more by this author.
This bio is about a contemporary man who escapes a horrible father by living in the woods in a tepee. As he grows up, he vows to change this country from mindless consumerism to nature-based living.

The author is masterful at depicting Eustace Conway's drive and focus, as well as his all-too-human flaws. What a fascinating study.

I want more Elizabeth Gilbert!
