Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show

The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Festival is an amazing, unique, overwhelming experience.
Sisters, Oregon is a true Western flavored town with an unparalleled view: the Three Sisters mountains in the Cascade range.

In July, the entire town participates in hanging quilts from all over the country (and a few from outside the US) along the streets and in shops. It is truly mind-boggling to see quilts everywhere you look!

We had lunch at the Lutheran church and the marionberry pie was heavenly!

A couple of hours later, I got a call and learned I won the raffle quilt! The church works with a local correctional facility to teach the women there how to sew. It "teaches them patience, perseverence, and improves their self-esteem." I am thrilled to be the owner of this one!
