New quilt in progress

I need a portable hand sewing project, so decided to start in on my "Stampin' Up quilt" -- so named because I will use a Big Shot to cut the pieces of (mostly) SU fabric.

I've been interested in the apple core pattern because I think the curves will be the perfect hand sewing project. The Sizzix die runs fabric through the Big Shot beautifully, cutting six pieces at a time. Each side of each piece has a notch to make it easier to ease the curves.

Even with frequent breaks, it only took about 1-1/2 hours to cut 90 or so pieces. Can you image how long it would take a klutz like me to cut 90 curved pieces?

Can't wait to start sewing!
